So where does the name “Eydo” come from?

The word “Eydo” (pronounced i-doe) is a Greek word meaning, “to turn the eyes, the mind, the attention to something.” And isn’t that what you want for your company, project, services or products – to have your clients, stakeholders and potential customers turn their eyes and attention toward you?

At Eydo, we are able to do this with great success, thanks to the high standards, client-focus and positive attitude of the partners and staff. Owners Garold and Julianne Smith, Art Director Jess Schaefer, Public Involvement Specialist Steff McLaughlin and Office Manager Carole McVeigh bring distinctive attributes to the firm, contributing to the breadth and depth of services offered.  As individuals, and as a team, we regard clients, vendors and associates with kindness and respect – a refreshing and appreciated difference in the industry.

Why Eydo?

In addition to the team’s extensive marketing and public involvement experience, inspired creativity and distinctive client attention, Eydo offers a noticeable value-added aspect to our business: a higher purpose.

Matthew 5:16, from the Bible’s New Testament, says:
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

This is our inspiration, our foundation. We strive to work in such a way that our clients will see a difference – a shining light. And we donate a percentage of our time and profits to worthy causes.

By the way, in the Greek translation of the verse above, the phrase “that they may see” is Eydo.
