Springboard Eydo Certified Small Professional Services Firm (SPSF)
Firm designated as a small business by NCDOT
Apex, NC: Springboard Eydo, a full-service communications and design firm specializing in public involvement and community outreach for transportation and transit projects, has been certifi ed as a Small Professional Services Firm (SPSF) by the NCDOT. This coming on the heels of their recent prequalification for public involvement and limited English proficiency (LEP) services for NCDOT projects. The firm was added to the SPSF list in August 2008.
According to Garold Smith, Public Involvement and Communications Director, “The SPSF certification further enables us to build our relationship with NCDOT and provide our clients with the added benefit the designation provides on project bids and proposals. With the addition of the SPSF designation to our recent prequalification for LEP and Public Involvement, our experience and specialty in public involvement and community outreach really sets us apart in the marketplace.”
Springboard Eydo has previously worked with the NCDOT Rail Division’s Engineering & Safety Branch, providing public involvement services for the Clayton Grade Separation Project, the Greenville Transportation Enhancements Project and a number of additional safety improvement and trespass awareness activities. The team also worked with the Department’s Environmental & Planning Branch’s Southeast High Speed Rail (SEHSR) project. Additional work includes the production of a rail crossing safety public service announcement for the North Carolina Railroad Company — a PSA that featured NASCAR driver, Casey Mears.
“We provide materials and programs that connect with the public by meeting the graphic and written standards seen in the mass media — the quality the public expects — and we help build positive public perception and engagement of projects, as well as community leadership acceptance,” said Smith. “SPSF designation is one more opportunity for us to reach out into the engineering and planning communities and build relationships for project teams.”
Springboard Eydo services include website design and development, graphic design and production, writing and editing, print production and management, video/media development, writing and production and Limited English Proficiency/Latino culture consulting.
