Springboard Eydo Creates Safety Campaign for North Carolina Operation Lifesaver
Apex, NC: Springboard Eydo announced that the firm is continuing its long relationship with North Carolina Operation Lifesaver by creating a public service safety campaign aimed at reducing train/vehicle incidents at railroad crossings.
The campaign, entitled “Don’t Cross That Line,” was conceived by the firm as a means of educating the public on the importance of using good judgment when near railroad crossings. By using tag lines such as “It’s a fine line being between begin wrong and being gone,” and “It’s a fine line between beating the odds and being another statistic,” the campaign illustrates the importance of split-second decision making — and the implication of the choice.
This most recent public service campaign compliments previous collaborations between Springboard Eydo and North Carolina Operation Lifesaver. In 2007 the team created a PSA for television and radio that featured NASCAR driver Casey Mears, and in 2008 a trespass prevention PSA ran on radio stations throughout the state of North Carolina.
“Thanks to our partnership with Springboard Eydo, we have been able to produce five public service announcements to help spread our safety message throughout North Carolina,” says Vivian Speight-Bridges, Executive Director of North Carolina Operation Lifesaver. “Their vision, and the ability to keenly understand our message and our audience, has brought recognition to their work from Operation Lifesaver chapters across the country. Saving lives is our goal and creating the communications to deliver that message is theirs — we believe that combination makes a difference.”
