The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is the state agency responsible for creating and maintaining the transportation network throughout North Carolina, including railroad crossings. Prior to new construction or improvements, NCDOT is required to inform the public about these projects, garner input and – hopefully – get buy-in for the work. This component, called Public Involvement, is integral to the success of each and every project.
The NCDOT Rail Division is constantly improving rail crossings for safer and more efficient roadway travel. Their Public Involvement efforts allow the impacted communities to help choose the best improvement alternatives, as well as stay informed as construction affects the daily life of residents. NCDOT Rail Division has turned to Springboard Eydo to take Public Involvement to a new level for the agency. Targeting local government, community leaders, residents and special niches, such as African-American and Latino cultures, Springboard Eydo produces high-quality, effective materials that positively represent the agency.
Springboard Eydo creates websites, newsletters and public meeting collateral for railroad crossing construction and improvements across the state. Because every project is unique, Springboard Eydo designs a distinctive brand for each one, and formulates a message specific to the impacted population. LEP-certified, the firm also employs a Spanish translator and Cultural Consultant to address the particular needs of the Hispanic community. Springboard Eydo is also approved as a SPSF for the State.
